The conference examined the current state of the project finance market and deal structuring trends for 2012/13, with an emphasis on the prospects for project bonds and other capital markets solutions; likely deal flow, structuring and pricing; and investor risk appetite. Sessions also covered the future of project lending in an environment of deleveraging; the regulatory environment; and a regional analysis of UK, EU, Gulf and US activity in project bonds. Case studies covered both infrastructure and energy projects. The concluding panels forecasted investor trends including the role of pension funds and infrastructure funds in future project funding.

The event brought together leading project finance professionals, debt capital market bankers, loan syndicators, infra funds, private equity and project advisory to discuss the financing of major projects in 2012, including the increasing use of project bonds in deals. With the EU pointing to an infrastructure investment need of some €2 trillion by 2020, the conference examined the capacity of the project finance market to deliver over the next decade. The event will provide an essential outlook for EMEA infra and energy funding and map financing in core project markets in 2012 and beyond to 2020.
